Welcome to the West End

With neighborhoods built in more recent years, this area has a more traditional suburban feel – all while be adjacent to everyday wants and needs.

What's is it like living in the West End?

Beyond the “Near West End” is the “Far West End” often simply called the West End. Encompassing the Glen Allen, Tuckahoe, Short Pump, and Wyndham neighborhoods, the West End lies mostly within Henrico County, although the far reaches are edging towards Goochland.

The further you travel outward in the West End, the newer the development is. This part of town has a more traditional suburban feel, with defined, planned residential neighborhoods (mostly with HOAs) separated somewhat from the commercial districts that line the main thoroughfares.

Super convenient access to I64 & 288 will make your commute downtown from the West End painless.  Henrico County boasts an exceptionally strong, nationally recognized public school system, and a lower tax rate than the City of Richmond.
