Welcome to Southside Richmond

Part of both southern Richmond City and Chesterfield County, the area known as “Southside” is the beautiful area South of the James River.

What's is it like living in Southside?

From the unparalleled river access along Riverside Drive, to the industrial neighborhood of Manchester, to Forest Hill Farmer’s Market, the amazing schools & new suburbs of Southside checks a lot of boxes for today’s homebuyer.

The Manchester neighborhood has become a hotspot for new development. Not annexed by Richmond until 1910, the independent city of Manchester was a major commercial port in the 1800’s. You can still see vestiges of the old city in the architecture of the Manchester Courthouse and numerous historical buildings.
