Frequent re-enactments at St. James Church remind us that the Revolutionary War was sparked right here in RVA, where Patrick Henry gave his famous “Give Me Liberty” speech. The Church Hill Irish festival every March is a Richmond tradition, drawing thousands of visitors. Named one of the “Ten Hottest Food Neighborhoods in the US” by Zagat in 2014, the area’s restaurants and bars are truly outstanding.
